FOCUS through FUN
 Has Proven Improvement

Beginning in July 2004, six months after starting with our first student, FTF began using a nationally standardized rating scale known as the BASC Monitor for ADHD to help determine the effectiveness of the FTF program. There is a BASC Monitor for ADHD for the Parents (46 items) and one for the Teachers (47 items). These rating scales were developed specifically to monitor “ongoing outcomes” for children receiving treatment for ADHD.  When the BASC is scored, it divides the items into 4 Categories: Our goal was to have parents and teachers of FTF students fill out these forms on a regular basis, approximately monthly. The first ratings were obtained from parents of children who had begun doing the FTF program during the prior 6 months. After that, virtually every parent filled out their first BASC as their children were starting the program.

WHAT ABOUT FOCUS through FUN for ADULTS?

We have had only a few real adult clients who have done the FOCUS Through FUN program.

Most of them had an ADHD history and were having these problems now.

Unfortunately we did not collect appropriate data on most of these adults,

But after very few sessions, usually around 10,

Every adult told us amazing positive stories about how their life has changed so well.

So many adults said they say “Play Attention” to themselves

When they doing work, doing sports, and even when driving in difficult situations.

They said this helped them turn on their excellent focus so well.

We also had one of the adult who had a brain injury as a child and

He chose to do some Play Attention and a lot of BrainTrain activity,

Particularly Captain’s Log, to improve his focus, listening and looking skills.

We have heard so many positive changes from him. Very impressive!

Since Play Attention was developed from programs for astronauts and pilots,

It may help a ton of adults going forward
